Craig Ferguson has no audio frequently and this morning's Sunday news show had no audio.   It has to be the connect feed to mother CBS as the commercials (served locally?) have audio.  Anyone else experiencing this?

:(

There's is no sound on CBS HD right now and the first NFL playoff game is about to start.  Commercials have audio.

Now I get crowd noise but I cannot hear the announcers.  I heard a techie count 1, 2, 3.   Very strange.   Any Tivo'ers out there with this problem on channel 1005?

TWC must have the SAP channel transposed with the main audio (the non-commentary/natural sounds feed is on the SAP), and I'm having no problems on Charter. Try flipping the SAP on for the time being perhaps to see if the main audio is there right now? Or else somehow SAP activated on your box and you have to switch it back to "English" in your sound settings.

SAP was enabled apparently only for CBS HD.   The Moxi does not indicate SAP is enabled which is a bug I think.  The setting to turn off doesn't even mention SAP, it is just another English entry under Language.

Maybe that is what I did.  I just picked Moxi Info -> Language -> (other) English and it fixed it.   Now when I pick either English the sound is fine.   Actually CBS HD is the only HD channel I can find a Language setting for.  Strange.

WDJT is the only one that passes SAP 24/7 it seems. WTMJ passes it in primetime, while WITI and WISN usually don't bother (WISN especially as ABC uses CC3 to provide Spanish translation via captioning. And then the other cable channels you just have to dig via trial and error to figure out if they pass SAP through.

Glad I could help; the Moxi is indeed vague about SAP activation (had the cable version until Thursday when I gave up and went with Motorola and TV Guide Intercraptive; better video, lousy DVR interface).

I actual sent my Moxi back because of this issue, the engineers couldn't figure it out either...  And it seems that its a Moxi ONLY issue.  I built a HTPC and am using a Tuner card with WMC and it works great every time...  I would have preferred to stay with moxi, but but was a deal breaker.  I tried Moxi for a full week and for the whole week I never had any audio from CBS 58, sounds like they have it somewhat fixed now...  Good luck!

Do you have TWC or Satellite or Uverse?

Xizer

lol, you can't use tuner cards with IPTV or satellite.

Danno321

Never had either.  Thought maybe there would be "modem" with coax out.

Talked to TWC and was told it must be a problem with local CBS (WDJT).   Is there tech number for my problem besides the broadcast ones via google?
