Fox 6 DVR recording problems lately in primetime

I've been having problems with recording an entire show on WITI during primetime or sports because of the way they structure the transition from the Fox feed, to local commercials, and back to Fox. It seems to blank out the DVR (Charter's MOXI) and thinks the channel went off the air, and then it returns after awhile, but not after missing a few minutes of recording.

I don't understand what's going on, and why it's only Fox 6 that has this problem, since the other station just can seamlessly go from network to local without a problem, but WITI jutters in and out. If anyone can confirm this happens on Time Warner/TIVO/Dish, I would feel a little more reassured. The last thing I want to do is literally downgrade to the joke Motorola/TV Guide considers a DVR to fix the problem.

For what it's worth.......
No problems via "Free" Wireless Digital Television. I'm using an ATI All In Wonder HD
Tuner with Snapstream's Beyond TV4 software.

No problems on DIRECTV.

The only thing I know of that might be different about Fox6 compared to the other locals is that they switch to a 2.0 audio signal when going to local commercials/programming.  I'm pretty sure the other locals send out a 5.1 audio signal, even if they only send audio out the front R+L speakers.  I notice it because the volume is a bit louder on my receiver whenever they switch to local, and audio cuts out for a second during the switch.

Hmmm, well it started when Charter switched around the QAM map two weeks ago...it just might be something unsteady on their end. I can live with it since analog is fine and they're still in the middle of their new digital changes and it will probably remedy itself eventually.

Thanks for the checking.

ETA - The problem actually I think is going to turn out that in the last few weeks my MOXI was fading - tonight it died after resetting several times. I don't think that signal had anything to do with it unless it was an internal malfunction with the QAM receiver. So now I cross my fingers I get another MOXI on Friday...otherwise this house is going to TIVO.

I have Charter and I've noticed this problem when viewing their SD feed of FOX6 through a KWorld QAM tuner converter box.  The video and audio pause, the picture jumps for a second, then the normal signal comes back.  It seems to happen when the station is going into a local break.  It reminds me of the old days when a station would cut to network without using a frame sync, creating a momentary vertical roll.
