Has anyone heard if with the launch of new Dtv sat, they'll also offer even more 1080p programming, perhaps other than pay-per-view? I'll tell ya,since my wife and I purchased our 46" Sammy,we've ordered 5 or 6 1080p movies,unREAL clarity!:eek::eek:
Eventually we'll get a bluray player, they're really coming down more in price :D

I searched craigslist for a few months and lo and behold, found a Panasonic DMP-60K Blu-Ray for $80 brand spankin new, guy had a PS3 and got this one with a new TV he bought from American.....deals are out there.

Anyway the 1080p looks good from Directv, but wait till you see blu-ray....much, much sharper, pretty stunning although I have only rented movies as the new release prices are still too pricey

There will be a ton of blu ray player discounts this season. Last year I was able to snag a Sony for $149 (at the time a fantastic deal). You should be able to find < $100 players this year.  I agree that blu ray disc prices are still way too high but again, look for deals in the next month.  Last year Amazon had some incredible blu-ray movie prices.  I stocked up big time.
