Looks like once again this year the BBC has screwed us again. They will only provide a 480p widescreen picture. Read all about it.

Perhaps they aren't up to technology as us mates here in America.

I was watching the British Open this morning on channel 12 so its in HD now.  But WISN decided to interrupt the broadcast of a Major Championsip to run a scroll to let us know that "The Replacements" will be seen at 2:30 today.  Who cares?

The FCC cares - big time.  They are the ones with the ridiculous rules for Children's Programming.  They have the power to fine or revoke the license of a station if they don't follow all the rules perfectly.  Fox 6 pulled the radar loop from 6.2 because they would have had to put 3 hrs of children's programming on that sub-channel every week. (Here's a link to the recent discussion of that - http://www.milwaukeehdtv.org/forums/showthread.php?t=8645&page=3 )

It is frustrating however, that Channel 12 didn't run the crawl in HD since they do have the capability to do so.
