CBS58 UW/Purdue Basketball game quality

Was it just me or did the game look rather poor?  I was watching via antenna feed through the AM21 box.  The resolution of some shots just doesn't seem HD.

Another thing I noticed, and had forgotten about since march madness last year, is it seems that when there is a bright flash (from a photographer) the CBS feed would occasionally do an out of focus blur (not pixelation).  I saw something about this on a avsforum post during last years march madness broadcast.  Apparently it related to some setting for adaptive filtering on the local stations HD encoders.  Knowing how well milwaukee stations "love" HD, I'd guess CBS58 has it set wrong still.
