FYI in the Guide:

Remember to see some of the later HD stations like Sci-Fi and Speed, you to go past the PBS stations in the 500's.  TWC should reshuffle this so that ALL HD stations are chronologically arranged.  I told someone with HD and TWC that Sci-Fi was out and he didn't even know!

Remember, the 1800 channels listed in Searching are test stations that you can find through the Find Shows option, OR you can punch in the channel on your remote and scroll up to see the test stations.  They start around 1830.  Note that you won't get this in the guide grid.  It must be through Find Shows or manually entering the numbers.  The 1800 series lists future HD content being tested AND new HD channels ready for launch.  When a new channel is launched in HD, check your TWC guide grids in the 500's.  A new SD digital channel could show up from channel 100-199.  The Digital Sports Package is optional at 105-125.  It is unknown at this time where MBN and MBN HD will appear for channel numbers  Launch date is January 1, 2009.  They just say, on the digital line-up.  Chiller, will only be in SD and is scheduled for launch sometime in January.  Exact date and channel number is not yet known.

Yes, it would be as wonderful as the many new HD channels TWC Milwaukee metro has been getting, it would be better to have these line up together more.
-At least these are in the 500's (for now).
It all started with 507 as non-HD channel, then 516, which you could go over for more HD channel choices, but now, you go to the guide to get Sci-Fi HD, LMN HD, Travel HD and Speed HD (yikes, its channel 580), you begin to wonder what's going on.

I start searching in the 1830's and go up as far as I can and hit the up and down on the remote, then I found the newest HD channels coming out:
Why CNBCHD and BravoHD came and went on the TWC site guide and these are still in testing is beyond me.
-But again, with these two and the other four mentioned, it will bring TWC locally, over 50 HD channels (provided you get all 4 HD premiums and the 4-channel HD package), once finally added.;)

I would actually expect those channels to be added on January 1st, 2009, even though the website may not explicitly say so.

But even with these other 6 HD channels added, that would mean BIO HD and Cartoonnetwork HD would still be on the horizon.

-My neighbours, those still staying the TWC, put these on their "wish list", so we'll see what happens in January.:D

To clarify, I am talking about those channels that are at the bottom of the "Channel Notification Page." that they say require two-way interaction. (i.e not through a cable card) to view.

Andrew

Just got to add Spike HD, the only non-HD channel I still watch (UFC).

So from what I have gathered from the now-taken-away TWC website listings and SageTV, the new HD channels we should be getting "soon" are:

Channel 503 - The Weather Channel HD
Channel 521 - Planet Green HD
Channel 545 - CNBC HD
Channel 568 - Bravo HD

-So, if the ESPNU HD and MLB HD channels are coming too (per TWC local website), I wonder what TWC channel numbers will be assigned to them?:huh?:

Weren't these supposed to happen by 1/1/09?  I haven't seen any changes here...

According to the new channels coming test: (if they have it activated) while scrolling in the IPG, go past the Adult porn series channels in the 1800's to the last channel in the 1800 range (but BEFORE you hit the 1900's)  Press "SELECT" (But don't hit B for "Buy" unless you want to buy a porn movie! hahaha.  Now, while on that PPV channel press the channel Up key on your remote.  Those indicate channels that are "on the launching pad" You'll see "This channel is not available."  Pressing A to try again won't do crap.  But look at the title on the screen.  If it's a channel that isn't in the guide yet, but it's on the list, it could launch within days.

So far the channels that show going through this process are:

1.) CNBC HD

2.) Bravo HD

I'm still waiting for Chiller to be added!  I think when they swap locations with Oxygen and WE, move HSN to channel 97 (in Milwaukee) and do the next guide update, we will probably see those new HD channels and Chiller added.

I did this test about two days before New Years and MLB Network was listed in the test channel process.  (This gives a gage as to how soon it appeared.) Than on New Year's Eve, it came out on channel 122.  Sprout was listed by doing the new channel launch test two days before it appeared on Channel 154.

The new channels in the IPG have "Data Not Available" for a few hours in the Guide List so they won't be able to be DVR'd from the guide fresh out of the box.  But within about 3-4 hours later when the guide data is retrieved, we will have them on the system.

Yes, I thought so, too, did TWC Wisconsin run into some technical snags or forgot to/doesn't want to?
Maybe it is waiting for sometime in the middle of next week to add the other 6 HD channels listed in its notification site, holidays finally over?
(The area in the notification about the cable cards not accessing those HD channels).

-Which reason does anyone guess it is?:huh?:

Bigdog

I tried that trick to see them by accessing 1810 (thanks never knew how you guys saw them that way) and did see the 2 mentioned by Jack 1000.  I'm kinda also waiting for Weather Channel HD and for them to get rid of that WeatherPlus thing that I hate...   I wasn't sure if they didn't show up as our box acts weird at times with flashing colors on the HD channels resulting in a cold reboot to remedy it.

CNBC and Bravo are showing up in the SageTV program guide (545 and 568) with program data (they were there for a few days with no programs listed), so they should be here anytime now, at least according to the way it worked out for the last channel addition.

Danno321

Chiller will be cool.  I would like to Toulouse No Neck again!

OK forgive me for my dumb question of the month,

But how would Sage TV's guide dada relate to TW's?

Jack

Not a dumb question at all. I'm not sure exactly where Sage gets guide data (though you do have to input your zip code and service provider), but before the last couple rounds of channel additions the new channels were showing up in my HTPC guide before they showed up on my cable box, first without any program data for a few days, then with program data, and then a few days later the channels went live and showed up on my cable box. So it appears that TWC is turning something on before the channels actually go live, and at least the last couple times this gave a "sneak preview" of what was coming.
