Anybody have any suggestions for some decent HDMI cables that wont break the bank like Monster Cables?

Just bought a few from monoprice.com for my HD-DVD, PS3, and Dish DVR.  I went with the 24gauge HDMI 1.3a spec cables in lengths I wanted (3ft and 6ft).  Very happy with the product I got in the mail...they look and feel quality and I have also heard great things about the site from others.

I second the recommendation of monoprice.com. I've placed a few orders from them for cables, splitters, etc. Their prices are the best I can find and their products are excellent. Look around the house to see what other products you can use and stock up. I also got a great deal on a VGA cable for hooking my computer up to my TV, giving me a 46" computer monitor.

Disclaimer: I am not employed by monoprice... just happy with their products. :)

I third monoprice.com their prices can't be beat and the quality is just as good, I don't think I'll ever buy a cable from someone else.

Another satisfied Monoprice customer.  I don't know how Monster can still be in business.

I use cablesforless.com for pretty much all my cables. Fine quality and really low prices. I've been buying from them for at least 5 years, never been unhappy.

Monoprice, Cables to Go, and there are others.  Anything but Monster, which is gleefully and cynically sold by Best Buy and Radio Shack at 3-4 times the sensible price.

The HDMI issue is this -- digital is digital.  Either the 1s and 0s get through or they don't.  If they get through, the result is as perfect as its origin.  Buy your HDMI cables based on price.

Yeah, you either get a signal at the tail end or you don't, and a long run is the true test.

I prewired my whole house before we drywalled and got all my cables from Monoprice, includuing one run of 105 feet of HDMI.  Saved a TON of money and the signal to the TV is just fine.

Wal Mart.

Why pay $$$$  for cable that passes the same information as an inexpensive one?

You can buy a 9' cable for less than $30.00.

I use Home depot lamp cord for my speakers, the component cables that come with D* boxes.

I've home made 50' component cables for the basement set up.

Right now I'm using a 12' HDMI-DVI cable I bought at Comp USA for $12.00 on my main set up.

Some will huff and puff their explanations of superior chemical compositions, electrical efficiency of copper wire, connectors, and the air that surronds them. I don't buy it.

Then again, I'm on the hunt for a good tube amp for my music set up in the basement, so what do I know about good sound/video quality? :huh?:  :D

Add me to the Monoprice club.  I've never bought an HDMI from anyone else, and most of my current cables, my HDMI switch box and my S-video switch box in my current setup are from them so I've saved a ton of money. Fast shipping, never had a problem so far with them or the cables.

Don't get me wrong, I order from Parts express and agree the prices on the web are alot better.

Just saying you can buy cheaper stuff from a local brick and mortar if you don;t want to wait for delivery.

I bought several generic 15' hdmi cables off Ebay for $11.99 each and they all work perfectly.
