Unlike last time, when my area first got the first 5 new HD channel additions in the 500 range (not the test area channels), nothing yet.

My 8300HD boxes are going a  bit crazy lately, though:
1) Recently, I have been getting massive pixelation on local network HD shows for no reason.
2) The other night, my box suddenly wouldn't let me get most of my HD channels, with the exception of the HD locals, 515 and 541, that is, until I did a hard reboot of the box.
BTW, this was at 11PM, not even primetime!

-Sounds like TWC's technical side is trying to get the other 8 HD channels in, but not quite making it, yet.:(

My box was acting strange also.. but it was this morning.  I wasn't getting any HD channels, so I did a hard reboot.  Lost all of my recordings and everything from the scheduled recordings.  Things are still in the series manager, but aren't scheduled.  Thanks TWC!

Sorry to hear of the worse problems you experienced, I don't know why you lost your recordings.

By a "hard reboot", I meant I unplugged the box for 30 seconds and then everything came back.:huh?:

Additionally, my other 8300HD cable box likes to freeze up without notice and the only way to make the box work at all is to unplug it and replug it back in for that "hard reboot"...even the off switch won't work.

Honestly, I'm thinking of getting a line cord with a switch, so I don't have to go behind my HT setup and unplug/replug to get the box working again, if this keeps up.

Just for good measure, I always leave one or more watched recordings on the LIST,  these did come back, so I wonder what happened with your box?:(

Yeah that's what I did for a hard reboot.. and the recordings didn't show up.  Now I just did a hard reboot again and my shows are back.

A couple of strange things I've noticed with mine in the past few weeks: box would tune to channel 4 when turning it on, even when I have "last channel" selected as my power on channel.  When I hard reboot, the box tuned to channel 506 everytime I turned it on.  Normally when the box is rebooting, it won't let you watch TV.  Mine will let me watch TV while Navigator is still loading... but there's no guide until everything is loaded.  Maybe they're acknowledging the fact that OCAP Navigator boxes are slow at booting.

The only SDV change I've seen this past week is that they put HGTV HD on SDV.

I've also been having several issues with the 8300HDC lately.

It started when the new HD channels were added recently.  I couldnt get any of them to show up on my channel guide.  After several hard and soft reboots, I had TWC send a reset signal to my box.  Still nothing.  So Saturday I went to Mayfair and exchanged the box.  That was actually pleasant.  Waited less than a minute in line and the exchange was quick and easy.  Got the box home and everything seemed fine, until last night.  I was flipping between the football game and the baseball game and had something scheduled to record at 9pm.  It was the only thing recording.  At 9pm the channel automatically changed to the one that was recording and wouldnt let me back to 504.  Finally it let me change to a different channel and from there I was able to start flipping back and forth between football and baseball.  Weird.

I certainly dont want these new HD channels if these are the problems that are going to be caused by having them.

Put in your due diligence TWC, when you add channels the only difference I should notice is the new channels themselves.

Nothing here this time in the 500's or the 1800's, though my TWC area never got the 1800's in HD number schemes at any time when the first 5  came out.

Although it is great to see that the next 4 of the promised other 8 HD channels coming.

-It's a matter of time when these next 4 will be available for all of us.:(

Confirmed, those channels now showing up in Racine, tho not listed in guide.

Strange though is ESPNNews HD gives me the "you dont pay enough to get this channel" message even though I get the SD feed.
