WOW, excellent customer service

I recently went through some upgrades to my Charter service.  during the process I had to call customer service 4 times.  In every occurrence I didn't have to wait anymore than 2 to 3 minutes.  And I always spoke to an American.  Yes I said American.  Not even a Southern accent to deal with.  And they were always pleasant, knowledgeable and took care of me quickly.  No I'm not a Charter representative, just a customer in shock.:)

I can also report two friends who recently had great customer service with TWC.  Shocking, but when this person called, the rep spent over a half-hour helping him when he had trouble with his TV.  Than, within no more than a day or so, the tech came out, got his TV fixed, and actually acknowledged that an issue that he had with his TV picture when it came back on was related to cable!

How many times have we seen cable companies "Pass the buck?"  It didn't happen in this case.

For myself, I have almost always had no more than few minute waits when calling to speak to a CSR.  The only exception was when their call centers were jammed because a big Packer game was on NFL Network, which TWC doesn't carry.

In the 23 years that I have had cable, I have had maybe 5-6 service calls.  Only one tech I would describe as "Out to lunch."

Is this a fluke or what?
