Just a copule days ago I received an updated programming and pricing guide from Dish Network. In there it shows the new pricing (higher of cource) and what channels come in each package.  It happens to show NFL Network as part of the America's Top 100 package (which I subscribe to).  I went to flip it on today and it didn't show up.  I contacted dish, only to find out that it is now part of the AT200 package.   So now the package is only 99 channels, but yes they still call it Top 100.  I can't believe their mass mailing just days earlier has it wrong...

I won't miss it till the end of next season so no big loss right now, but I'm suprised that they are able to do this since I thought NFL network requirements were that to carry the channel they had to be placed in what would be considered a "basic programming package"

The NFL Network has some good stuff they are showing from the combine this weekend.

I have the AT100 package. It feels like I just switched to cable without doing anything.  :bang:  Who thought this was a good idea? Oh, yeah the beans counters at Dish Network.

If I didn't have the kid factor to contend with (need for Disney/Nick) channels I'd switch to their 29.99 HD package which has the No Fun League channel in HD. Oh well, screw them.

I was on the AT100 plus locals, so for only $2 more I could get up to AT200. So that is what I did.  I figure the $2 is worth it for about 100 more channels. I like Fox News and FX, both which I get now.

I thought the rub w/ NFL and TWC was the NFL channel had to be on the lowest tier.  How can Dish move it to a higher tier?

I would, if they had a gave you a Free HD-DVR that had OTA capability.  Last time I checked you don't get it for free, and it doesn't do OTA.

If you need OTA you can work it out to get an HR20 which has OTA.

And negotaite the price and tell them you want to leave Dish.

If you dont get the results you like call back, some people do not help as much as others will.

I have had DirecTV for 13 years and woul;d NEVER leave. Love it that much.

Even the HR21 can get OTA with an add-on box.

Nice find!  Either way Dish got a few $ extra out of me to keep the channel. I moved up to AT200 and so far FX, Fox News and a few others are worth the $2 difference that it cost me.

NFL somehow screws DishNetwork by putting an NFL Network game on network tv....  in turn Dish Network screws their customers.

Sounds logical to me!
