TBS and TNT both airing "The Longest Yard"...

I noticed going through the guide that TBS and TNT are both airing "The Longest Yard", at the same time.

Why?  What's the point of having two channels if you're going to air the same programming?

That rant aside, the weird part is, the TNT HD feed of the movie is the proper 16x9 movie, unstretched.  The TBS HD feed, however, is the 4x3 movie put through that stretch-o-vision process to make it 16x9.  What gives?

Yeah, that was rather redundant. I avoid TBS and their faux hd.  Still waiting for more HD  TWC :bang:    They KEEP pounding  that lie of  'home of  free local hd'   It's sad when people may be fooled by this and think they need  TWC box(hardly free) to get 'free' HD locals when the TRUE free locals are via an antenna. (and the best  HD quality,I might add) I'm sick of TWC and their deceiving lies and grabbing of straws.

Yeap I saw that too, maybe they are running out of stuff to show. LOL

As far as TWC and their lies about the Free HD, well I hope the Dish boys call them on it, because it's such a lie, my damn cable bill every month can prove it!

You can get HD locals for free if your TV supports QAM. I can't think of any HDTVs sold these days that don't support QAM.
