Appreciate the promotion, but...

I really don't know why I agree to do stuff like this.  Probably because any promotion is good. But between misquotes and stuff that I'm reported as saying making me sound like an idiot, the current issue of the Business Journal's Executive Living has a feature on HDTV adds another case of reporters just not being able to get stuff right.

If you read it, please understand that I really do know that DirecTV only carries 4,6 and 12 Digital locals here (what I really said was that of the major network affiliates, 58 was the big one that's missing here).

And a long discussion of resolution (1080 vs 720 for sports and 1080p resolution for HD DVD) apparently lost something in the translation.

But our Web site got some promotion, and I got my ugly mug printed in a magazine, so it's not all bad.  And they did get my quote mostly correct that HDTV picture quality is stunning...although that would be a hard one to mess up.  But adding that "it's a matter of preference" without clarifying that the specific topic was 1080 vs 720 for sports had me scratching my head. :)

There were actually two features on HDTV in today's Business Journal... this one and a huge article on the state of Local HD in the regular print edition... http://milwaukee.bizjournals.com/milwaukee/stories/2007/11/12/story10.html. That one quotes me correctly.
