TWC's Bev Greenberg could care less - don't you realize that by now?

DooMer_MP3

Honestly though, what percentage of those aren't "premium" channels or actually play HD content all day? Just curious.

gparris

Mostly HD since it is film based and film is higher in resolution than most video, though HD cameras are more commonplace with newer films (I would assume).
Do you GET the premiums?
I do- and I feel cheated that I pay as much as other TWC locations and I don't get the other three : StarzHD, CinemaxHD and The Movie Channel HD...already in many if not most, TWC locations.:D
I'm a movie buff, so buying high def DVDs is a good thing, but not always practical and I hate waiting for Netflix...so I get the premium movie channels.

I guess my point was, aren't a lot of those local sports channel going to be like FSNHD? ie Colored bars 99% of the time? Or are they actually filled with content?

I switched from TWC to DTV over 7 years ago and loved it then.  And now the differences between the two are just ridiculous.

Sorry, I didn't know you meant sports channels being "premium".

tunce

...and now they just added MHD to the HD goodness!

vegasvic

I don't know that I'll watch MHD much but the PQ is outstanding.

SciFi HD!  I want it.

HDThtr (or is ist HDnet, one of them anyhow) has most of the good stuff, but it'd be nice to get them when they are premiering.

Army82ndAB

HDThtr is what was formerly known as Discovery HD Theater...

LowSignal

SciFi HD? Ok so I need this ASAP where should I sign up and can I install it myself for faster service? To hell with TimeWarner!

Are you just waking up to TWC's service, now?
Their HD channel additions could have been better all along since Directv had some delays, but what did TWC do?
Nothing...just sat on their butts and they STILL do not care.
-TWC has channel 507 as HDTV in their website listing of channels (again), though it was changed sometime ago, now it's back as HDTV - it's just digital-only.
-So how can TWC Milwaukee "get" HDTV when it messes something simple like that up?

Now TWC is trying to play "catchup" to satellite, though I honestly doubt TWC Milwaukee will get that right, as it can't do my one my other two TWC services right, either.
(You know, that "all-in-one", three-thing they love to advertise so much Cabletv-Digital Phone-Internet):
Not everyone is happy with Digital Phone, including me, as their service sucks from my experience the past several years.
TWC's band of idiots couldn't wire my house right (on their part of the install), keep my original phone number when I changed (as they still wrongly advertise), then changed it on me without notice and installed a bad box. It has been several months, 5 incidents and the service has been a dis-service and still no resolution.

So you really think they are going to be great regarding a competitive delivery of HD channels?
Oh, pleeeeze!

I am by no means a Fanboy of TWC.  I booted them from my TV service in 1996 poor service, bad picture etc. and haven't looked back.

I signed up with Primestar and have been with D* since the buyout.

In 2005, I got tired of being slammed by the Telco's, charged for services I didn't want or use,  really bad repair service, Dial up Internet was, well, dial up.

I looked hard and long at TWC's phone and internet service.

I signed up.

Since then, I have been happy with the phone and internet service.  I did keep my phone number without a hassle, and have had no problems.  My Internet has been hovering around 5mps. I haven't upgraded.

In 2 years I've had one service call for my Phone/Internet service and that was surprisingly handled in a timely manner and done the first trip.

So my experience may be different than others, but I would NEVER switch from the dish.

Just my $.02 worth.
