I recently re-did my MythTV PVR and had to do a new channel scan. I am now getting another channel from the MPTV multicast.

Channel 10.8 is showing the same video as 10.5-10.7, but it had Jazz music (the one time that I watched it).

Does anyone else receive this channel?

Yeah, it's been there for around a month or so.

I hope that it continues with its jazz music audio feed. Since 88.9 FM changed its format, there hasn't been any jazz available to Milwaukee listeners.

I don't count "smooth jazz" as being jazz. Smooth jazz is like HD Lite, a poor sustitute. :(

91.7 plays some good jazz sometimes.  I just find it randomly, but it might be on a schedule.

Yes, that would be the Free Jazz BBQ w/Dr. Sushi, on Tuesdays from 9-12 AM. I listen to it when I can. Since I am at work then, I usually can't. It's a good show, but he plays a lot of Jazz improv. I can only listen to so much of a saxophone "honking".

I really like mainstream Jazz. I can blame the old WYMS format for getting me hooked on it. I used to work third shift and listened to the syndicated show by Bob Parlocha.

I guess Jazz is becoming one of those "dead" musical genres, like classical music, only supported by diehard fans.
