HiDTV Pro card to tape HD HBO

For you people that have the HiDTV cards that can record HD sources, is there any reason that you would not be able to record the Stones concert on HBO in January in HD (provided it will be shown in HD).  

What format does the computer files get saved as and could it be turned into a DVDR?

I am just trying to figure out the highest quality way of preserving the show for my own personal use.

It is a .tp file but remember that the HiDTV and other cards only record HD OTA local stations..not satellite...we can record the concert in MPEG format but it would be a S-Video input signal as that is the only way to bring anything into the card (other than low grade composite).  None of these cards have component video inputs as the processing is done integral with the receiver...sorry.
