I am making any attempt to display video from HDMI on my television, but send the component video across the basement to the bar television.  Does anyone know if this box will keep both the Component and HDMI connections live at the same time?  I have read the manual, but does not make mention of it.

It keeps both live.  I've run HDMI directly to my TV and component through my AVR with an H10

That is interesting because I have always believed that you can either have HDMI or componant, but not both.

From what I understand, ALL outputs on the H10s, H20s and HR20s are always live.  So, you could run HDMI to one TV, component to another TV, super video to a third, composite to a fourth...

I'm not at home now to check for sure, but I recall that when something is plugged into the HDMI, the component turns off. I'll settle this tonight.

But I am powering two TV's from my HR20 with an amplified HDMI splitter. Works like a million bucks. :)

I also have a mechanical composite video switcher designed for two inputs with one out. I run my component cables through it plugged in reverse so the double ins end up being the out, and the single out ends up being the in. I can click the switches to send the signal to one, the other or both TVs. However when they're both on, both pictures decrease in brightness.

And I'm still pretty sure all outputs are active on the box.  This goes for the H10, the H20 and the HR20.

Just checked: the HR20's Component IS live even when the HDMI is plugged in... the HR-10 wasn't
