Recently, I've been noticing that Channel 10 (DTV35) HDTV output has been displaying, at the pixel rate, of 1440 X 1080 Instead of the normal HDTV rate of
1920 X 1080 pixels. Sounds like they maybe up to something like adding more video streams, by  going to HD-LITE all other 1080I channels are showing A
normal pixel rate.

It's kind of odd, but they are still broadcasting at at same bitrate.

Must be a recent change.  I checked and got the same info.   I've often wished I had access to the PBS satellite feed.  Another good reason to look into a card for the PC.

Must be program specific, or a temporary thing. As long as the bitrate is that high though, I don't really care whether it's HD-Lite or not. In fact I'll bet the HD-Lite picture would actually look superior.

At a lower pixel rate picture quality would be affected, unless your monitor is not able to to accomadate a 1920 x 1080I pixel rate most advertised monitors are only capable of fully handling  the 1280x720P format, so could not distinguish any
difference in PQ using HD-Lite rather then 1920x1080 pixels
Incidently the channel 35 PSIP data which reported a 1440x1080 pixel rate was in error. as they corrected, and now displays, the correct pixel rate. (1920x1080 pixels)
