I am selling 6 home theater seats(2 rows of 3) in excellent condition. 3 were mounted to a 10" tall riser, and 3 are mounted to a 2X10 for front row. Between the rows is a step for riser. The riser, step, and 2X10 under front seats are all carpeted with a matching medium gray carpet. The riser is 42" X 73", and the step is 18" X 73". The seats were totally re-upholstered with new fabric(dark blue/with black) and 3" high density foam about 1.5 years ago, and also painted with a black satin finish(the backs and bottom of seat are metal). The riser and stair were built and carpeted at the same time(1.5 years ago). Price is $150 for 3 seats, or $300 for 6. I'll throw in riser for free if you buy 3 or 6 seats.
I also have for sale a pair of KLH, 8", 3-way speakers for $40 in very good condition. Please PM me with any questions. All prices are negotiable. Pickup only, in Oconomowoc, WI.

I might be interested in 1 row of seats, if that's okay. I'd definitely like to see some pics! I'm in need of some "extra" seating in my home theater... just about anything would be better than the lawn furniture that's currently serving as extra seating - and this is totally in my price range!!

Those speakers are tempting too, very large!! When you say 8" and 12" are you talking about the biggest woofer size, or the size of the whole speaker? Some more specs on those (wattage handling, ohms etc) and maybe model numbers would be helpful. I'm not really in need of them but I have a friend who might be interested.

Is the front row mounting board needed if I'm only buying 1 row? I'm sure some pictures will help clear up most questions.

I hope to have the pictures up soon. I'm waiting for my daughter to get home, I don't know how to do it. I prefer to sell all 6 together, but if you get to the 3 first, that's OK by me. The seats need to be screwed down to something or they would just fall over. These are the type of seats in theaters that are screwed to the floor. So you need to keep them on the board, screw to the floor, or mount them on a riser(like I have them). The 8" and 12" I refer to are the woofer sizes on each. And being 3-ways, they also have a smaller midrange speaker and tweeter.
The 12" speaker is model #KLH-9912, 8 ohms, 28-20,000 hz. and rated for 10-250watts. The 8" speaker is model #KLH900B, 8 ohms, 5-140 watts. The hertz range is not listed, but I assume it's the same as the other.

Thanks! Some interesting stuff here... I'll have to do some consulting with a few friends. :)

Bluto

Nice setup on those seats, Ralph.  And a sweet price, too.  I just ordered some Berkline's, or I'd give them a serious look.  You shouldn't have a problem moving those at that price.

Ralph Kramden

Thanks Bluto. Most of the ones I saw on Ebay were at least $100 each, plus they had to be redone.

After taking a close look at my theater and doing some quick measurements, I don't think the seats are going to fit down there very well. Another thing is the seperators... the "extra" seating these would be for is on the side, and I could see it being kind of uncomfortable to have to sit sideways in those.

I have however let a few of my friends know about your sale, you might soon be getting an inquiry about those speakers (and possibly the seats), but that's up to them. :)

UPDATE: I have a friend who's definitely interested in the speakers. However, I have to get in touch with him to find out if he wants both sets or only one of the sets.

OK Mark. Why don't you PM me instead of us loading up the thread here?

Mark Strube

Friend is no longer interested... never mind me, everything here is fair game!

I can't believe no one's interested in these beautiful seats. I'm dropping price to $150 for 3 seats, and $300 for 6. If you buy 3 or 6, I'll include the riser for free.  You really need to see them in person to appreciate them.

Ralph Kramden

These seats and the 8" speakers are still for sale. I've gotten inquiries about them, but nobody has come out to see them. Mark Strube has seen them, if you want to get an unbiased opinion of their condition. If you know anyone interested
have them contact me. They're longing to be placed in a nice home theater again. Thanks.

Naimbeg, I'll know for sure Monday. Do you want me to PM you if he doesn't buy them?

naimbeg

Yeah, send me a PM if the guy does not get them.

Thanks.
