Mmmmmmm........   When I did a live chat on the TWC site and inquired about the new navigator update ( just a front for my next question) I asked about any new HD channels coming and the rep said no. She gave the standard line that " the headquarters has to negotiate new contracts before the local TWC's can broadcast them" (something to that effect) I'd be willing to bet that my Rep was right and yours was just another pretty face! :D

I never said she had a pretty face, just that her sentiments were music to my ears. ;)

Don't worry though, I'm not holding my breath.

I just read this link in JSOnline that channels 18 and 24 are finnally being added to TWC HD:

No, he is like me, being honest and realistic with the facts, as the article clearly outlines that Bev & Co. (TWC Milwaukee) have not even sat down with SBG locals for transmission setups!:D

Maybe our very own forum member could give us any details as these come about.
...where is he?

You should get DirecTV. They rock.

So...he can get the 7 down-rezzed HD channel package for $10.99 vs. $6.95 for 5 from TWC
(note price increase Feb, 2007 from D*)
and D* promises of more of everything "soon", too?

Where is who?
I didn't know there are "setups" for receiving OTA.
Haven't heard anything details yet.

You're very funny, Jimboy, you knew who I was noting...you.

If Bev & Co. sit down and there is a patch for OTA to TWC (as in what I believe WISN has, not fiber), you'll know it, my understanding.

Some locations in the country of which TWC had SBG-TWC setups had them all ready to go and these HD channels come on almost immediately (read the AVSforums threads).

Others, like KABB-DT in San Antonio, are still waiting for their local FOXHD station to be added to the TWC HD local lineup, but I will gather it will be sooner than us getting your two stations in HD in our TWC cable system, here.

Patch for OTA?  Pumpkin? :D
I assume you mean direct video/audio or mpeg2 but not through fiber.

Actually I think he's referring to how TWC at first got CBS58 on the cable.  They actually used an OTA receiver until they had a fiber feed.  (I think it was 58 could have been another channel).  Unfortunately I don't think we have a TWC employee on the board anymore and even if we did they've probably learned that TWC doesn't like chatty employees stealing the thunder of their Advertising people.

Well I wasn't really sure what he was referring to.
For cable to get the station feed it's either OTA or Fiber.
The "patch" reference threw me off.

Yeah I guess that sounds weird.....but I know they would much rather have a Fiber feed than OTA...too many variables in OTA....We'll just watch and see and I'll stay very sarcastic!
