Anyone know why TWC has so few HD movies available on the on demand channel?  It has been a joke since they introduced it.

My guess is the studios simply don't want to license much content on HD On-demand platform just yet.  Based on past practices, the studios may not want to cut off their lucrative DVD sales... HD-DVD & Blueray included.

Not to mention that the channel is seriously bandwidth deprived. I ordered Shark Tale on it awhile back (early summer?) and it looked awful. Relatively still scenes were ok, but as soon as any amount of motion happened, it blocked up like crazy. A friend of mine ordered something from that a few months ago, and reported the exact same thing. Stay away from it unless your HDTV is tiny.

I agree HD on-demand is not picture-perfect in rendering very fast moving scenes, but it's still very nice.  In general, I'd say it's just below the PQ of the multicast WTMJ & WDJT HD feeds.  Granted, my display is only 1024x768 to start with, but it's still enough resolution to pick-up the bandwidth related picture issues, which are rare.  All things being equal, I'd still watch something I'm somewhat interested in on HD vs a blockbuster available on the SD service.

Well since Netflix has added HD-DVD's to their service, and as more and more movies are available in that - the HD-PPV is going to have to step it up to be of interest to me. (Granted, most people don't have HD-DVD drives yet.)
