Space Station Telecast Puts Earth Into Clear Focus
Discovery HD Theater took one giant leap for HD fans this week, airing the first hi-def live images from space. Discovery and Japanese network NHK televised the event live from the International Space Station in conjunction with NASA. The images were a far cry from the usual grainy video associated with space broadcasts.

I had the opportunity to catch the replay the other night.

It was absolutely stunning!

During the interview with a crew member you could see the particles of dust floating around the cabin.

The exterior shots of the Earth rolling by looked almost 3D. Beautiful!!

An hour of the Earth from orbit should follow Sunrise Earth every morning.

It will probably be on again sometime next month.

Program is called "Space Station Live" on Discovery Channel HD Theater.

Unfortunately the last replay listed on their site was Saturday the 18th.
