WTMJ Audio Problems

As a work-around, would it be possible to convert all of the 2.0 material to 5.1 instead of using a switcher?

Scott - Some of the engineers here want to do that too.  It seems to make the most sense.

I guess I would have to wonder what would happen with stereo material, though.  Would it remain as just stereo, or could it be converted to 5.1 using a pro-logic decoder?

I'm not sure if most receivers/processors would know (or even be able to) convert the stereo signal to 5.1 (via pro-logic).  If it were converted at your station before broadcasting, that would solve the problem.
