I rescanned my locals today. Noticed a channel 13. Took a look. It is the local ABC station. Yes, It was a bit snowy, but I am getting this with a $50.00 Radio shack antenna. This really peaked my thoughts to get a long distance antenna, rotor, & amp. Ideally, I would like to be able to get Chicago, Madison, etc. I am in central West  Allis.

I need your collective suggestions on what antenna, rotor, & amp you would recommend to make this a reality.

Thanking you in advance.

At the moment, you're getting help from tropospheric ducting.

If you get a long range UHF antenna with an amp or preamp.  You can get Madison 24 hours a day in most of milwaukee.  Also i think you might have some luck with Chicago (WGN UPN50).  Antenna hight is very important.

When I was driving through Indiana back in July, I could listen to all of the Milwaukee radio stations in my car.  That was pretty interesting.
