I had a brand new  HD50LPW175, which is thier 50 scenium.

It didn't even make it 30 days before it puked.

Repairman came, He said the control board, the DLP chips, the bulb, and just about everything else was cooked.  Said, the last one he saw that was this messed up, was struck by lighting.

I was dissapointed with its PQ anyway, but damn, what a way to go

I bought it through bestbuy with a service contract, and since its stone dead,  they offered me a new one, or a different TV.

I'm hoping this new samsung was worth the extra money, they didn't have any of them when I bought the RCA, or I would have bought one then.

I waited 2 weeks for the RCA to get delivered, watched it for 3, waited for another week to see what was gonna happen with it, and I'll have to wait another 2 weeks for the samsung to be delivered.

So for the 8 weeks I'll have been an HDTV owner, I'll have watched 3 weeks worth of TV.

You should be thankful that you have an extended warranty from BB and it worked vs. the RCA that didn't.
Samsung has a range of products, some are very good.
No one I know personally has had good experiences with RCA brand DLPs, but that is just me....Samsung should be much better....sorry to hear about your lack of HDTV. :(

I have the exact same TV.  I bought it back in August 2005 and it has been 100% trouble free.  The picture quality is GREAT.

The Samsung is a much better TV than the RCA.

got it all hooked up, I'm really happy with how the center channel shelf turned out.
