Hello from Indy - Cable card question

Hello to all my old friends in Milwaukee. As you may or may not remember, I moved to INDY last summer. I was in a rental until we could move into our new home. All my stuff was in storage including my HD gear.

Well, now I am out and moved into the new home this week. The movers just brought me all my stuff and I have the local cable company coming tomorrow. I am also buying a new 50" HDTV for the family room as I had to leave one of my sets at the Pewaukee home that was built into the basement req room wall.

My question is with the cable card. This will be my first set that comes with a card slot. The local cable company provides the card for free, so I don't need to rent their cable box. I know it is not 2-way so I won't get the VOD, but do you know if I also loose the digital guide?

I have the HD DVR on the 60" HDTV so I really don't have a need for a box on this one, but I hate to loose the guide.
