Hello all,

I am sure you saw...or heard...this up in Milwaukee, but down here in Chicago/Rockford, both the respective NBC affiliates had great video,
but bad audio...it sounded like it was coming out of a tin can. WMAQ-DT
gets its feed via fiber direct from New York, and WREX-DT in Rockford, IL
gets it via satellite. The fiber feed sounded pretty nasty; the satellite feed sounded ugly. I felt terrible for NBC...the DD 2.0 feed via analog sounded good.
Don't blame your local NBC affiliate for this...I am sure local NBC engineers
were calling the network going..."uh...what's up, guys?".

I agree that the audio level was too low.  Just the opposite of 58-1 where the audio level is set too high.

The picture quality was good.  It seems like there is much less macro blocking on 4-1 compared to 36-1, which doesn't seem right to me.  36-1 is doing something wrong I think.

I hope NBC adjusts the audio level for the HD feed for the rest of the Olympic games.

I did not watch the opening cerimony, but heard it was quite good.  I guess I missed an F1 car doing donuts in the shape of the Olympic circles and fireworks shooting off everywhere.  If someone has a copy of this they could send me please let me know.  Torrents have been of no help thusfar.
