intermittent Break Ups Watch Fox 6 Shows?

It seems the signal was fine for Sunday's programming but it has returned for tonight. Anyone else?

Same here OTA watching 24.  D* Fox 5 had some breakups too, but not nearly as bad.  The breakups on D* are more like skips in a CD, not the complete audio drops I've been getting OTA.

Back again this week.  Monday Prison Break and 24, Tuesday AI and House, Wednesday AI and Unanimous.  I also noticed it during local programing (ie the news).  It seems as though this is becoming a repeating trend every 3-4 weeks. :bang:  :bang:

Yep I get breakups OTA as well.  I was beginning to think that it may be the hard drive on the Tivo.  Glad it is not.

Looks like I will change our season pass to record FOX shows from channel 88 (Fox NY) instead of channel 6.

Thanks for the heads up that 88 is clear and not suffering these break ups.

ACTUALLY... the Fox national programming has had small drops in picture and sound as well, but not nearly as bad as the local stuff.  When the sound goes on the national side it is for less than a .5 second.  The locals seem to be a good second or more when the drop happens.

I too am having problems most noticed during Idol. I was hoping in was not my equipment but I figured none of the other channels were doing it.

Back again last night on Prison Break, 24, and local programming.

Noticed it twice so far on Tuesday night programming. Once during American Idol, and once about a minute ago during House. Video froze, and audio dropped for about 1-2 seconds, then stuttered (both) and came back.

Watching it on Time Warner Cable.

I'm also getting numerous dropouts and freezes on TWC 506 with a 8300 box while watching Idol and House. Was recording both. Had a second show recording during House, canceled it, didn't help.

Drop out during Idol last night watching it OTA.

Switched to Fox 5 New York and they had no problems.

I watch 3 shows on Fox Idol, House and Bones.  Most noticable during Idol for some reason.  The other two shows rarely have problems.  

Again this is OTA.

I'm told Fox 6 only passes the network feed through to the transmitter.  So far, they do not have HD capabilities ready to run it through their own switching equipment.  That pretty much leaves the local network receiver at Fox 6 and the microwave link to their transmitter as the only areas locally to insert problems.

I'm going to guess most of the problems you are seeing are satellite related, and beyond the local control.

I was just wondering if this is still an issue. I recently built an HD PVR and put away my LG 3200. I have been having small hicups here and there but FOX seems worse. Thanks.

I have also been noticing a large number of dropouts on 6 lately.  It happens on both the local and network feeds.

Last night was the worse I've ever seen. It as damn near unwatchable. All the way thru Prison Break and 24. I bet it didn't go more than a minute at a time before a drop out. All the way through both programs.... It was infuriating.
