I'm starting to look at the 50" SXRD myself...  (first foray into HDTV...  8 year old 32" CRT now).  I won't be in the market to buy one for another couple of months, but American in Oak Creek had the 50" on sale last week for $3170.  You can break the 3k and 4k (for the 60") barrier online.  Hopefully, by the time I'm ready to get the 50" in a couple of months, I should be able to get it under $3k at a brick and mortar store.  

Does anyone on this board have the 50 or 60 SXRD?  I'd love to hear your "user reviews"!  I've read almost unanimous praise for it, and the "issues" are such small things from a non-videophile (me) standpoint.

Was there Friday night and it is actually $4049 right thru January.
Additional expense is the 5-year in home warranty that includes 1 bulb replacement for $349.99 and $60 home delivery if you don't want to pick it up yourself...a nice deal.
The display-only model is now selling for $3799.99 as is...FYI...grab it while you can!
