I was asked to tell you guys that the PSIP data stream should be turned on in the next day or two.  Technical problems beyond their control etc etc etc.  However, they are on track and it looks like it should hit the air either tomorrow or the next day.  Look for 12-1 once activated.  On my Sony receiver it will automatically show the change and from that point on will no longer require 34-1.  Other receivers may react differently.  Hence the heads up to the group here.

Who told you this? We can re-map to 12-1 with our encoder, but out actual PSIP computer project has been put on hold due to software bugs. Our night crew of engineers have been the ones working on the encoder, I work 4:30AM-12:30PM. No one has sent me an e-mail at work yet about remapping to 12-1, but when I hear something I will let ya all know.
