Watching the Ellen show today, it's coming thru in 5.1, although I'm sure the source is just standard stereo.

2 problems:

There's way too much of the sound coming out of the rear speakers, practically all of the sound that's on front & center is coming out of the rear speakers pretty loudly.

Also, every 5-10 seconds there's a strange static sound on the front stereo channels.

Anyone from WDJT engineering on here?

I watched the latest CSI: Miami... no audio issues except for the first 5-10 seconds of the show... for some reason they didn't have the center channel activated, so you couldn't hear what the two girls in the car were saying, just the music and sound fx on the other channels. This was quickly fixed.

Anyone having any other issues or should I unstick this thread?

GBK

they've had a problem last night just before seven the ads were all out of whack other than that it's been good.  I'd say unstick it.

Audio related - but not dropout related:

At least on the SD content on 58, I get too much bass in my subwoofer from dialog almost like the crossover point isn't set right on their side.  I hardly watch CBS, so it's not a huge deal but annoying whenever I do watch it.  I noticed this also before they switched over to DD.
