Hi folks,

I did not want to brag, but thought I would like to give a bit of hope for some of the suburbanites that are trying to pick up reception in the big cities. I just moved back to Fort Atkinson after 2 years in Jefferson(no not a long move) and decided to try my channel master 4228 in the attic of my new 2 story home.  I hooked it up straight(no preamps, etc).  I was amazed at the signal strength on the Dish 811 receiver. I pointed toward Madison(36 miles away) and receive all the locals including Fox 47(DT 11) which is VHF on this antenna.  My signals for all VHF channels are in the high 80's to mid 90's.   I have not tried milwaukee stations, and if I get ambitious I may but at this point I could not be happier.  I always heard that putting the antenna in the attic decreased signal strength by half.  In this case I did not loose a thing. Signal strength was the same in Jefferson on a 45 foot tower as it is in my attic?   Hope this helps a few of you out.

What I meant to say was on the UHF channels 80 to 90, on the VHF(47) around 75.

That's good to hear.  I'm happy with my Channelmaster 4228 in the attic also.
