Has anyone else had audio drop outs on 4-1 when NBC switches to HD?

Mark Strube

Dunno, but I STILL see speckling in their blacks, constantly. Only channel I see that in, and it's on both OTA and thru TWC.

Joseph S

My tuner thought they went off the air at start of 2nd segment. Something is f'd up with NBC national lately.

Gilbert

Seeing the same in Chi-town on WMAQ-DT.

Had the same audio problem most of last week late in the evenings.  Late prime time and the Tonight Show.  Saturday night was bad also.

Nels Harvey

I noticed dropouts of audio on both Vegas and Medium last night from WTMJ-HD.  If they were any worse, I would have gone to the SD feed.

I cannot believe I'm the only one who sees speckling in blacks & dark colors on NBC's HD shows...

Mark Strube

Frequent, annoying audio dropouts during the Surface reruns tonight... checked both OTA and TWC... prevalent on both. :guns:

I certainly hope they fix this before the HD premiere of SNL tonight.

tazman

Don't know about the black speckles, but the audio drops are quite anoiying.  I fell asleep part way into SNL.  So I can't remember if the audio drops were still occuring. :(

Mark Strube

Didn't notice any audio dropouts during SNL... but I certainly wouldn't of missed much if there were. They need better writers.

And the speckling... I'm talking about white speckles in dark colors, I notice it in almost all the NBC shows from both TWC and OTA. Anybody? If nobody steps up I'll just capture an example of it.

tazman

Ya it's not like the good old days, when they had Mike Meyers and Dana Carvey. :D

Mark Strube

Agreed, but I still think they have a pretty good cast... if given better material to work with.
