Although I know many of you will be thrilled by the news!  :p

From TBN's website:

---
Today, August 23, 2005  at 5:12 PM,  WWRS-DT, Mayville/Milwaukee,
Wisconsin began broadcasting via crystal clear digital transmission.

WWRS-DT operates with an effective radiated power of 300,000 watts (which
is the digital equivalent to 1.5 million watts of analog power).  This
station will cover the Milwaukee and Southeastern Wisconsin area with a
strong signal.  WWRS will soon begin broadcasting a "multicast" of all
four TBN networks including TBN, JCTV, The Church Channel and TBN Enlace
USA.
---

Do a rescan, see if you get it. Wow! Two DTV's go full power in one week!

I couldn't pick it up, here in Franklin.

The station's true frequency is 43. I tried tuning in to that channel and rotating my antenna, but no luck.

I don't think that I would have watched it much anyway, I don't ever watch channel 30.

What does TBN stand for?

EDIT - I just Googled TBN - it stands for "Trinity Broadcast Network".

Yesterday I was getting a 86% signal in Sheboygan, but tonight the WWRS signal is weak, bouncing between 0 and 60%.

is there any way a directional antenna pointed towards the towers on the east side is going to get this without rotating?

Unlikely, especially since Milwaukee is 45-50 miles away from the antenna.
If you do, it is probably a "hot spot". Yep, sorry, WWRS-DT 43 is a Trinity Broadcasting Network affiliate.

I don't know how you guys can receive WWRS-DT well since it broadcasts on ch. 43 which happens to be that WTAS-LP a Low Power analog station in Waukesha, WI. also on ch. 43.  With the LP there, it wipes out WWRS-DT here.

Who the hell was the idiots who assigned ch. 43 DT to Mayville and LPTV ch. 43 Waukesha when they are about 25 miles away???   The FCC can't be that dumb, or could they?

Channel 43 in Waukesha will have to move now, and/or leave the air, UNLESS
they are a "Class a" station. If not, they'll get the boot very shortly. Besides,
with a higher power 43 trashing their signal, they won't want to be on that
channel anymore!

Any word on when WWAZ-DT 44 Fond du Lac will go to full power?

WTAS-LP Waukesha, has a construction Permit (CP) for channel 47 and will increase their power from 5kW to 150 kW with a directional antenna pointing towards Milwaukee.  They should put in quite a signal from that high tower they are on.

WWAZ just got a 6 month Special Temporary Authority approved by the FCC
to remain at low power for another 6 months. At 1.8 kw, my hunch is that it
won't be until next year. They have to be at full power on July 1, 2006.
