Yeap. I have hard core proof of it now.

Maybe this leaked out already somewhere else, but I was so excited when I saw the letter that I just had to share it with you guys.

August 22nd they are firing up the 1,000Kw amps for 24 hours of Digital broadcasting though may be on channel 33. So I don't know how that translates to 6-1.

Awesome!

Cool! Another Milwaukee station I'll be able to get consistently
here. Two things...

A very minor point: it will be 980 kilowatts, not quite 1 MW...but
that shouldn't affect anybody. Most importantly, by far...

We'll see how having 3 DT stations side-by-side works with tuners around here.
No problems in Chicago with 51, 52 and 53 being active; let's see if anyone
has problems with 34 after the power up.

So I should expect a stronger signal tomrrow?

I just went out and bought a rotator and moved one of my attic antennas to the roof to get better FOX and it sadly didn't help at all.  I figured I would need a bigger antenna, but if they're finally going to boost their signal strength, perhaps I can leave what I've got alone...?

NOT a single bit of improvement.  These rumors are just wonderful.

Will this affect the TWC signal in anyway?  Make better?

Nope TWC receives Fox via Fiber.

Someone I just spoke to at fox 6 said it was NOT TODAY -- sometime in the next couple of weeks.  I think it is useless to speculate unless you are someone from fox 6 who has first hand knowledge.

cudahyjim

What was the proof? On another thought,You would think Fox 6 advertisers would sure not like to see the station talked about in the mostly negative way it is on this board...

#12
I said I had proof but I did not think I would have to produce it.
I am as astonished as you all are. Why would they lie to the public like this?
Any ways here it is....

Tom Snyder

While there was originally a hopeful date, it was admittedly optimistic. But it never was promised to the public to be today.

Nothing has changed. They're testing as we speak...but testing breaks stuff... finds stuff wrong and in need of repair... so we may need to have another 1-2 wks of patience.

I'm sure no one wants a full power OTA HD Packer opener more than the people at Fox 6.
