This is absurd. I'm so sick of these bogus weather alerts for publicity purposes.

100% agree.
Also I noticed that lately Jay Leno PQ is OK on my 1080i Hitachi, but not so sharp on 720p Panasonic projector. Other chanells are just fine.

The picture is so small it looks like I'm watching on a 13" TV

Just got back from 1.5h run/cool down. Didn't even have a drop of rain until the last 15 or so minutes. What a joke. Who is afraid of rain and what minimal percentage does it affect after 9:00 anyways?

I remember when the Emergency Alert System alerted us to Emergencies, not news updates. On Saturday I was driving back from Chicago and all the radio stations were interrupted to tell me that a rain storm with the "potential" to develop strong winds and "possibility" of producing a tornado was heading my way.

 :OnAir:

I guess the air raid sirens were going off in Milwaukee on Saturday? What is that about? Something about the little boy who called wolf comes to mind.

As for interrupting the HD programming to tell us it is raining just to get their faces on TV for an extra few minutes is ridiculous.

"We interrupt this program to tell you nothing new. We will continue to re-hash the nothing new report until we feel satisfied. If anything new happens in that time, we'll update you and then re-hash it again. Remember, we provide you with the breaking news first! Even if it isn't breaking news."

While I'm ranting... With all the technology today, Why does the emergency alert announcer always sound like he's broadcasting from inside a bomb shelter with 1930's vintage equipment???

Yeah it was pretty bad, I got that alerts on every channel, but what I did was to cut off my decorder box, and used the normal TV channels, and I didn't get those alerts.
