Hi Folks,

I've just bought (soon to close) a house in Pewaukee and will be moving from Greenfield. I'm wondering if there is anyone here in the general area and how your off-air HD/Digtal reception is? I had great luck with a small UHF antenna from RS mounted on the roof in Greenfield, but I'm not sure what to expect in Pewaukee.

Thanks for any thoughts.

I sold my Mits 65" awhile ago and it didn't need much of anything...two men and a truck along with a Pleasant Prairie to Brown Deer drive...no problems...
you should be fine...good luck on your move...nice to hear from you!

Welcome to Pewaukee. Were abouts are you moving?

I don't use OTA so I can't help with your quesion, but wanted to say welcome.

RJRobb

Yes, all channels using OTA from WCTC area, no problem.

My dad gets all (nbc, abc, cbs, fox, pbs, 18 & 24)OTA with an attic mounted antenna (not sure which type).  I'll actually double check on the Fox.  I am pretty sure he gets it OTA.

He is just southwest of Capital & J.

Thanks for the Welcome. I'm moving to the village of Pewaukee off of Park Hill. Just behind the park, fairly close to the lake. I really like it over there and I will be less that 5 minutes from work. It will sure beat dealing with the rush hour traffic on I894 every morning and evening.

Thanks guys, for the posts regarding reception. Sounds like it won't be much of an issue. I'm glad to hear that. My only problem now will be getting on top of the two story house and mounting the antenna. Wasn't such a big deal on my old ranch style house.   :D

Make sure you stop by and see our water ski show. Every Thursday night from Memorial Day through Labor day. Free show to the public, lots of fun.

I'm one of the boat drivers. My boys are skiers, age 13 and 15. My wife does the sounds system.

Excellent. That's a real family operation you got going there. I'll be sure to stop by this summer.

Well... I'm all moved in. Most everything went well. Man, what a lot of work. I hope to not go through that again for quite while.

Everything arrived in perfect shape. However, I do have one problem with my Mits 65908 (figures, eh?). They were very careful with the set. I watched every move they made. I plugged things in to check it out and all my inputs are fine except for the DTV (component) input. Everything is GREEN on that input. I can crank the Tint to the max and it compensates for most of it, but it's still not right.

Is it possible the vibrations of riding in the back of the truck caused the calibrations of ONE input to get messed up? I have the movers coming over Friday to take a look and discuss options. It's obviously going to need to be recalibrated, right?

Just by chance, check that you have your component cables connected correctly.  You might have one switched around.  I did that once with very similar results.  After all that is an RGB signal. :)

Thanks.. I had checked that initially and it was fine. However, tonight I was experimenting and eventually tried DIFFERENT cables and the problem is gone. I'm not sure if a cable can go bad and cause the problem or if indeed they were hooked up incorrectly (even though I double checked), but all I know is I'm a happy camper again.

Thanks for your reply.
