I hate to loose one of my HD channels, but I have had enough. I have to cancel my Showtime channel. Vote with your dollars they always say.

Showtime has completely lost touch  IMO.

First they run the mini series the bashed the Reagan's. Even CBS passed on that mini-series. Too left for them, if you can believe that.

They have the gay show "Queer As Folks" Men holding hands and kissing, puke.

They added the "L Word" All about lesbians (could be hot, but is not). Just very political.

"Fat Actress" with Kristi Alley just totally degrades heavy people and herself.

And now they are playing Fahrenheit 9/11. The propaganda film made last year to bash President Bush. Proven not to have a shred of truth and shunned even by Democrats as completely false but hailed by the most liberal of the left wing.

That does it, I'm done, they say if you don't like it, don't watch it. That is exactly what I am planning on doing. No more money from me.

Fat Actress was awesome.  Dead Like Me was too.

For me, cancelling Dead Like Me and Jeremiah was enough of a reason to shun Showtime, but I've never understood the concept of boycotting any program source just for presenting viewpoints I don't happen to agree with.  If I did that, I'm not sure what programming sources I'd have left.

P.S. You'd think you could at least spell the last name of "St. Ronnie" correctly since you're so passionate about the subject.
P.P.S. I might just have to re-subscribe for the perverse reason of offsetting your decision.  I'm just ornery that way.

Sarah Shahi on L-Word S2 -  {cheers}

Then there's Penn and Teller: Bullshi! and Family Business is pretty funny too.

Oh, I don't know, YOU don't have to subscribe to anything, actually, but an open mind.  :D

HUFF will be into its second season on Showtime and I can't wait with its great group of actors, too. First I didn't like it, but it tended to grow on me, worth the wait.
Cancel if you must, but since you're cancelling, I'm keeping it, for sure. :)

Dead Like Me was awesome.

I would have kept the network for that one show, but now it's gone, so am I.

Actually there are some other pretty good shows as well that you have mentioned. Family Business was pretty good. I guess you have to look at the total balance of the network. Unfortunately, they have tipped the scales too far to the left for me.

That is the only power we do have as consumers. Don't like it, don't buy it.

gparris, Glad your not taking any money away from TWC.

Picked up CinaMax instead. Just wish they had HD.  I guess it all balances out in the end.

Skinemax SD over Showtime HD? I'm not one to be offended by programming, but if there's any group of channels geared for offending as much or more than Showtime, it's the Skinemax lineup.

Not offended by the skin or the adult content. I don't like the left wing political agenda of Showtime.

gparris

Left Wing is all of Hollywood for the most part, they have to keep them Right Wingers in line

Really, Showtime has something for everyone, not just the "Radical Left" you hate so much. :D

HBO has different movies and shows catering to others, as well, too. ;)

Don't hate them, just don't want to give them any money.

They say we should keep an open mind with the crap they want us to watch.

Just remember, open minds empty fast. ;)

Thats why Im happy TWC does not pay for Synclair stations.  As a REAL conservative (ie Libertarian), I dont want my money going to those who talk like conservatives but then spend like liberals (ie Republicans).
