Yeah it's live.  I set up TWC channel 10 split picture with OTA PBS HD and it's the same thing.

It is interesting that it is not part of their 3 hour delay. It prooves that they could air ch. 10 & 36's programs at the sametime rather than delay them for 3 hours.  

I realize the auction has to be LIVE in order to get people to bid and so forth.  Surely they could drop the 3-hour delay on the rest of their programming.

He is a thought about the ch 8 multicast.  What if they dropped PBS Kids and PBS U and aired both live 10&36 and a 3 hr delay?  What would people think of that?  

I don't think that they couldn't air live, it  just gives them another program stream to air on TWC.

1080i on a multicast is not an answer. The answer is to drop the foolish 3h delay and to quit censoring their programming.

I didn't mention anything about 1080i.  They don't have enough program material to run one HD station.  My suggestion was to air 10-1 , 10-2 as digital versions of the analog and 10-3, 10-4 as 3 hour delays.  I would think that it would be a better service.  If you see catch the middle of a show on the live feed and want to see the whole thing you can.

As far as censoring you really need to look at all station about that.  There is more that gets censored by all TV stations than you would ever know.

Here's a vote for keeping PBS Kids as a multicast channel.  My kids watch that channel more than any other.
