This might be a repeat question, but it is a simple one I think...

If I subcribe to D* and receive the Milwaukee locals, living in Jefferson, will I be able to get the Fox HD feed(is this an O & O market)?  What do I need to do to get D* to allow me to have this if available?  I am currently a cable subscriber, previously with D* and I am looking to switch back.

Welcome back from the "dark-side."  I was able to get Fox5 (channel 88) from NYC.  When you call D* ask to speak to someone in the HD department.  I told them that since our local Fox 6 is O&O by the Fox Corp. that we are entitled to recieve one of the national Fox channels, in this case, channel 88.  It took 5 different calls to D*, but I finally was able to get the channel.  If they tell you that you need to fill out a waiver just hang up (they don't send waivers anymore).  They also might tell you that it will cost an extra $1.50/month to get this channel.  This is also BS.  Just be persistant and don't give in to them.  I am in love with Fox 5 since they show Seinfeld at 6:30 (like it used to be) so I don't have to stay up and watch the same episode here at 10:30.

thanks murdoc for the info.  Sounds like the typical sales pitch they give you when you call, you need to NEGOTIATE aparently!!!

Careful here - yes Milwaukee Fox is O&O but since you're in Jefferson County you can also get Fox in Madison, which is not O&O. Even though you may not be able to receive either Fox station, since Madison is not O&O, you will have a problem qualifying. But, I'd call the HD support people to confirm. How's that for being political...
