I have TWC with the Scientific Atlanta 8000 STB.  Is it possible to output both SD and HD via the SA8000?  I have HD working fine but when I try to use SD via s-video it displays nothing but a gray screen.

I've seen some postings about being able to enter "SD Mode" by pushing Guide and Info while the unit is off but I haven't been able to get this to work either.

To switch to SD mode you have to go to the STB itself (not the remote) with the unit swiched ON and press the "CH+" and "VOL-" buttons at the same time. You should see the video on the screen momentarily. You might need to press the "CH+" again to get the video to stay on. Hope that helps!
