Have you tried letting it do an auto scan.  I know it sounds too obvious, but thats what is usually over looked. :)

I did an auto-scan several days before the friday showing and didn't come up with the 18-2 channel. Is it possible that the channel would only show up while they are actually broadcasting on 18-2???  Shouldn't just entering 18-2 work even if it doesn't show up on the channel list???

Thanks,

Jim

18-2 is "on" Friday's starting around 3pm until 10pm, so yes the only time you could scan for it would be during that time period. If it doesn't show up on your channel list try entering channel 61 (during that time period) and it should find it. Otherwise an auto-scan will be necessary. Our Samsung SIR-T150's will blink for a second and then add the channel automatically.

Of course your results will vary.

I just found out today (Friday 2-25) that my USDIGITAL receiver doesn't find 18-2 unless you rescan the channel. Once it finds 18-2 it will remember it even though the stream is not there (after 10pm) it will just say Off Air.

Thanks for the tips, hopefully I'll be able to see my favorite program this friday in HD.

Still lookin' good.  I like to do the "pore" test when deciding about the quality of HD broadcasts.  I pay attention to how clearly I can make out the skin pores when there is a facial closeup.

Before we had Enterprise in HD, I never knew that there aren't any pores in a Klingon forehead or nose but Klingon cheeks have as many pores as humans :)

:( I couldn't get a signal Friday!  It looks like this is the same transmitter that 6 and 58 are using.  Not strong enough to get it.

Johnny Legion

When I went to 18-2, it didn't pick up right away either. When I changed to 18-1, the signal locked in strong, and I was able to find 18-2. I'm giving big kudos to Sinclair for broadcasting this on the sister station.

Its funny that the girlfriend wouldn't watch the show normally, but was happy to see it in HD.

Shame that the series is coming to an end. Hopefully we will get repeats in HD!!!

Has anyone checked to see if the Saturday broadcasts are in HD?

Gregg Lengling

They weren't this past Saturday...I checked when I got home from Mexico and had to watch it in SD on 24, 18-2 was dead.

Saturday is the encore version which is not provided by UPN live. It's a pre-recorded repeat of Friday's show. 18-2 is only available on Friday nights, unless you want us to do multicasting all of the time.

Updates are listed in the 1st post in this thread.

I tuned to 18-2, and my Samsung TS160 said that channel was unavailable, so I went to 18-1, and then tried 18-2 after the program started, and it was there loud and HD clear.

Don't get eitehr 18-1 nor 18-2.  Both say the signal is too low.  :(  I flipped back and forth from 24-1 and 12-1.  Both of those were coming in, but nothing for 18.

It was last Friday during the time specified.  (Not last Friday since there was no Enterprise, but the week before.)  My TV does not have a "re-scan" option.  18-2 is an available channel right now.  So is 18-1.  There is just not a strong enough signal on either one of them.   :(

This Friday try 24-2. The same feed that's on 18-2 will also be on 24-2.

Have a "with wife" evening out this Friday.   :(  Might be home before 10:00 PM, but doubt it.  I'll try if I get home early enough.

Enterprise is in re-runs anyhow.  But in HD it would be worth watching the re-run!   :D
