E-mail them back and ask them if the set has a factory reset function that clears everything. Start there. If that doesn't resolve it call WISN.

If WISN has an issue I would think more people would be complaining. As far as I can tell the only thing they changed was the PID numbers. WTMJ, WITI, WCGV, and WVTV have also changed PID's, any problem with those?

WISN is still on the air on 34. What do they mean by this?
"dropped that frequency from the allocated bandwidth"
It sounds like they are talking about a multicast channel being dropped.
They changed PID numbers and still have but one video/audio stream.

Another thought....How old is this set? Is it still available from where you bought it? If so, see if they have one that can receive 12-1.

I purchased the set from Flanners before Football season.  : )  and I have a call into flanners to see if they can test their floor model to see if they can get 12-1.  I think that Samsung is giving me some customer -no-service right now.  If I don't get an acceptable response from them on this last email I will be calling and leveling up to some supervisors.  One thing that I have noticed( Ithink) is that the signal strength bars have been at 4 bars everytime I have checked???  Seems as though they may be stuck,? or giving me a false reading.??..  I just thought of this now and I am at work already.  I will have to move the antenna around a bit tonight.

I can get the SD 12-0 but it is rather fuzzy.  : (

I will keep you guys posted...  It does seem like I am the only one continuing to have the problem...  Oh and yes I get all the other stations in fine(Even Fox) with it's 1 bar strength....

Thanks,

Matt

I have an update.

I called Flanners to find out if they are receiving 12-1 on theirs and they told me that on their 32, 30, 27inch models, they were not receiving 12-1.  I called Samsung Customer Service and they told me it must be a tuner problem and to call the service guy at associated Electronics.  They are coming on Wednesday.

HOWEVER the SamSung guy asked if I had unplugged my set for 30 sec to reset to factory settings.

Why did they not tell me to do that in the first email???  So I will do that tonight and see if it does anything..... I have this funny feeling that it will.....  When the rest of you rescanned, did you unplug your set for 30sec?

Thanks

Matt

Samsung SIR-T150 & USDIGITAL OTA boxes just needed a rescan.
Not all devices will react the same, judging by your results there seems to be a common problem with the newer Samsung models.

StarvingForHDTV

My Samsung SIR-T151 has automatically dealt with every change I have seen since I acquired it.  It never seems to need a re-scan, and appears to be fully automatic.  When things change it delays that channel for a few seconds to acknowledge the change, but that's it.

No, in my case the rescan itself fixed it, but mine is a stand-alone box.  It's funny that recently there have been several warnings, or more correctly notices, on this forum that our tuners may need a rescan due to data changes on one station or another.  This is the only time I actually needed to.

It is fixed.  After speaking with the people at Samsung and getting nowhere, I called the service guy in West allis and he seemed very skeptical that it would be a tuner problem.  I agreed and decided to call the station, I spoke with Pablao Rios the director.  He was VERY helpful and I just may watch more 12 as a result.  He recommended I get into the service menu to reset the TV and then do a rescan.  I did this (Power off, Mute, 1,8,2,power on) when it came on it was as though I had never turned it on before.  The unplug 30sec. thing the samsung guy told me to do did nothing.  Well I did the rescan AGAIN and Voila it worked.  I want to thank everyone who helped and now I can let this little obsession go.....  : )   Thank you everyone.   ;)

You just gotta love electronics! I'm glad to see you've got it resolved.
