Mitsubishi showed at CES its first HDTV sets with a built-in digital video recorder (DVR) and Dolby's digital recording technology. The model WD-62825 has a 62-inch display and uses a 120 GByte harddrive DVR to record video content.

The storage space provided is enough for about twelve hours of high definition or more than 60 hours of standard definition television programming, Mitusbishi said. According to the company, the DVR typical functions of such devices, including instant replay and pause.

Other model including a DVR are the WD-62825G, the WD-52825, the WD-52825G, and the LT-4260G. Mitsubishi is also introducing the HD-6000G HDTV receiver/controller, which also offrers DVR functionality.
