New TWC HD Channels for Xmas/New Years ????

a little confused here.. do you mean you switched from TWC where you were renting an HD box to DirecTV where you haven't purchased one? Just trying to clarify as I can testify that DirecTV (and locals) provide me with plenty of HD.

If this is the case and you have been a subscriber for a year, have you tried calling customer retention and getting some nice credits to make an HD box more affordable? Most people are doing so to get an HD box usually around $99, many people even getting the box down to $50 or even $0 after credits.
