Is CBS-58's digital signal down?

I get 58-1 (1-1) etc at about 70% and today (sunday) nothing.

I'm watching the bears game right now.. not HD but oh well, for me Fox was fine this morning and now only 25% signal strength must be the weather or something.

They could possibly be down mainly due to technical reasons.  It happens ya know.  If there is a problem, I'm sure one of their engineers is working on the situation. Check later, they will be back up.

I called the newsroom.

They're "working" on it.

One freaking Green Bay game all season and it's f'ed up for the first part.

Switched as I type this, but still unacceptable.

Mags

I get my signal OTA - I thought the game was to be HD...

Anybody getting it in HD???

Neilium

It appears to be working now about 2 minutes into the game.

... and gone again.

This is ridiculous.

No excuse. ONE Packer game all season on CBS in HD.

GBK

looks like they have an idiot working the switch constantly going back and forth with comercials, HD, SD. Buy a automatic switch that works instead of the crap you have this happens nearly every week on this station.

... and back again.

Just like the turnovers.

FOX's splicer seems to be the most appropriate for HD delivery.

No "switch" to flip. Like ABC, CBS and NBC.

GBK

I agree.  You would think that the people at CBS would take notice... Fox has a whole lot more games in HD as well.  CBS might have been first but that doesn't mean that should rest on their laurels and do absolutely nothing to improve the spotty delivery.

well there is a price for running a business. If you don't spend and keep up then you get left behind and disappear.  I doubt that demand will go up for a crappy service.. and inturn they can't get the advertisers to pay junk on a tv station that has only a handfull of people watching.

Talos4

Totally bogus presentation for the game.

Not switching over right away, going back and forth with the switch.

Did anybody else notice that the first down, scrimmage line was missing from the HD signal? it was there for the SD broadcast.

Not big deal, in the grand scheme but, sheesh, what a way to run a business.   :bang: :guns:

I figured I wasn't the only one musing over the irony of the situation.... As we were cut away from the Bears game, there indeed was no HD feed.  A few minutes later, it was the feed of the Kansas City/Denver Game... Anyone see this??  So, on the analog feed, I had the Packer game, and this game on the HD feed.  Wierd.  Regardless, by about 3:30 it seemed better/rectified.

Now for the irony.... As much as we complained about Fox being so late in the game here to start broadcasting HD in the Milwaukee area, I have to admit to being somewhat spoiled by the overall quality of the most recent Packer games.  Few if any picture drops, 5.1 Sound.....  I've seen good productions by CBS before, but yesterday's game delivery was substandard.

Although there's surely a reason that THIS game was not on Fox, it certainly should have been IMO.  Well, I guess the game kinda matched the coverage :(

Thankfully back on Fox for the next 2 games....
