Is there any HDCP programming these days?

For D*'s HD10-250 receiver, the instructions state that the HDMI cable must be disconnected in order to show (at lower fidelity) any HDCP (high-def content -protected) programming.  That's fairly cumbersome, and not user friendly.

My question is: are there any HDCP programs being telecast, at present, and what sorts of programs will (or may) be telecast and "protected" in that way in the future?
