D* 811 problems

I have the D* 811 HD receiver, along with the 522 DVR.  The 811 seems to hang up frequently, and while I get the channel listings, I don't get a picture, even on local OTA channels.  My solution is to unplug the receiver, and wait a few minutes.  Then, of course it needs to acquire, get the guide, etc.

Are others having this problem, or should I be on D*'s back on this?

Just to clarify, you're talking about DiSH Network hardware, correct ??

We refer to DirecTV as D*

DiSH Network is E*. Before it was named DiSH Network, it was Echostar, thus E*

Oh!  Then I have the E* 811.  I didn't know that.  Thank you.  I still have the problem tho...

I also have the 811 receiver, and that is a known problem. But, it has been corrected with software upgrades, and mine has been working great for a few months now.
In order for the software to be downloaded to your 811, you have to turn power off to the 811 when not in use(I don't mean unplug, just power off with remote). By the way, there's a great website at Satelliteguys.us, and there's a section just for the 811 under Dish Network for any other questions.
