Any updated news about Letterman going HD on CBS anytime soon?

I've talked to a CBS Engr about Letterman in HD....

 The problem is that Letterman's show is telecast from

 an old NY City Analog TV Studio....   To go HD, CBS must rent

 a HD Studio Truck, park it outside the Bldg, Feed cables

  up to present auditorium.....     Rip out the Current

  Analog studio room...   buy & install the HD equipment,

  for that room and then shut down the Rental Studio truck....

  IF it were easy to do by Letterman moving either

  permanently or temporarly,  Things would be HD by now....

I thought someone posted months ago that he would be HD this fall.  Maybe my bad...

I had thought they retrofitted all of his studio with HD gear and HD cameras.. didn't he even make a joke about it last fall pointing at the HD logo on the camera?

don't know when it would happen if it is, but I thought this is what fueled the "Lettermen in HD by 12/03" rumors that were going around last year....

Yes but only the Camera is HD, nothing else.
