GAC to Debut on DirecTV

DirecTV said it reached a multi-year carriage agreement with Jones Media Networks for Great American Country (GAC), the 24-hour country music network.

Stephanie Campbell, executive vice president of programming at DirecTV, said that during the past several months the company has received more requests from customers for Great American Country than any other network.

GAC, which features exclusive live performances from the Grand Ole Opry, will make its DirecTV debut Sept. 21. GAC will be available in the DirecTV Total Choice Plus programming package and above, the company said.
