Hi,
Does anyone know of a site that has a detailed HD schedule?  I'm having a difficult time trying to record things.

BTW, if I hear that Sony commercial one more time, I'm gonna break something.

Thanks,

HMM... If they play it 3 times and hour, 24/7 for the next 15 days, that means it will play 1080 more times...

Ugh.  Die Sony Die!!  :guns:  LOL!

I wonder if there is a way to do commercial skip with my shiny new MyHD card.  My old HiPix could kinda do it.  Hmmm...

So how about a schedule?  Pretty please?

First, Make sure you are using V1.63. The CD it came with is probably outdated.

Set the fast forward button to 28 second increments. You see the commercial start, hit the FF button, then by the time it retracks you are watching the program again.

Enjoy your MyHD card. I sure do!

I don't think it exists.  You should ask NBC.  What were they thinking when they created the HD schedule?  Unreal.

Supposedly there is diving I think.  All I have seen is swimming and gymnastics.  Why would they loop the same sports to me every night?  They could at least vary the loop timing so I see 3 different sports on 3 days of prime time watching.  I think the HD decision maker at NBC is hooked on crack.  I can't think of any other explanation for this madness.

My guess is that they are creating the schedule on-the-fly, depending on various results of preliminary events.

Yeah, I didn't even unwrap the install CD.  I downloaded the newest drivers from digitalconnection's website.

The menu setup and file playback is weird.  Scheduling and playback should have their own menus.  Also, I'm trying to figure out how to have the OSD show a file list.  Other than those usability issues, the card is pretty much rock solid.

BTW, the HiPix had a commercial skip that would completely skip (and not record) the commercial.  It was good because it saved a chunk of disk space.  I really couldn't use it though because my dually PII 400 choked with it turned on.

That commercial skip sounds like a great feature. I wish MyHD had that.

As for the playback, I say dump the MyHD interface and use Meedio or MyHTPC. I use Meedio and it can scan your recorded shows directory every x minutes and build a menu of recorded shows without intervention. The only issue is that you have to turn MyHD off to get back to the Meedio menu and switch shows from the remote. That creates a few second interruption and a bunch of splash logos.

that and a lot of other things. The PC PVR cards have almost no support at all. They can't find the time to add Hyperthreading support, Dual Tuners, editing, true PVR functioning.

At this point I'm using my Mac's eyeTV HD PVR for records because it does all the things I wanted myHD and Hipix to do. It's a real PVR meaning it can pause live TV and you can watch other recordings while you record. Built in editor to strip the commercials too. Other than software playback CPU limitations, it has my other solutions beat by a mile. They just need to put out a dual tuner unit or allow multiple units to be used. Runs via Firewire.

The HiPix commercial skip feature was great, but it had a nasty bug on my system that occasionally lead to unplayable .ts recordings. So I had to disable it.

AMEN to that one.  All of my HD cards refuse to run in any of my dual processor systems.
